Are you accepting new clients?
Yes!
Please schedule a free 20 minute initial consultation via telehealth to determine if we would like to work together. If not, I can provide referrals to other providers. Either way it is a win/win.
Chemistry, safety, and comfort are ingredients to making the kinds of relationships I am most interested in, and this extends to my therapeutic relationships. We can chat about what is motivating you to seek therapy at this time, I can hear about your prior counseling experiences and what has worked (or not!), and answer any questions you may have.
If we decide we would like to do the work together, I will send along my practice documents for your review and signatures for informed consent and we will pick a time that works to meet regularly.
Are you offering Telehealth (video) visits?
At this time, I am working via Telehealth or in-person. You will have access to my secure client portal where our visits will take place.
You’re welcome to my cozy office in the historic Ford Building in SE Portland and am seeing clients without masks. If you are unwell, please re-schedule or request your appointment shift to Telehealth..
Insurance
I do not participate with any insurance panels and am considered an out-of-network provider.
Insurance companies dictate clinical decisions such as length of treatment, frequency or length of sessions and require a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement.
By bypassing insurance, I can provide the most flexibility and privacy for you! You are welcome to submit on your own behalf for reimbursement for a portion of counseling fees. Please let me know if that is your intention. I will provide a Super bill with diagnostic and services codes for your convenience.
How do I get into the building?
Our office is located in the Ford Building in SE Portland at 2505 SE 11th Ave Suite 224 Portland, OR 97202. Directions here.
From the main entrance on 11th use the code *2240 to enter the building (don’t forget the asterisk), take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. From the stairs, take a right and follow the hallway all the way down and turn right again. We are the third office on the right. If you take the elevator, go straight to the hall, take a left to the second office on the left.
What does my Investment look like?
Therapy is a financial commitment and investment in yourself and your relationships. By the time you have reached out, you’ve likely been thinking about taking these next steps for some time. I’m so excited that you are reaching out to get down to the business of you.
Therapy is an opportunity for growth and healing that can change your life and provide healing.
We decide the length of treatment, and often the investment of your work provides long-term gains.
Out of Pocket Investment:
Standard (50 minute) individual session: $250
Standard (50 minute) couple/relationship session: $250
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid incurring a full session fee ($250). Please cancel Monday appointments by the previous Friday. If I can reschedule the appointment within the same week (M-F), the cancellation fee will be waived.
Please know that the cancellation policy is enforced without exception. That way, it is fair for everyone, and it is not at all personal when the fee is charged.
Parking
There is ample street parking in the area, and also a pay parking lot across the street from the building on 10th and Division. You will need to download an app to use this lot.
Please do not park in the lot on the SW corner of the building off of SE 11th Ave and avoid parking or driving on 11th - there is a high likelihood of getting stuck on your way in or out of this lot if there is a train. If you park here, you risk getting stuck for hours
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT TRAINS RUN FREQUENTLY THROUGH THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND PERIODICALLY WILL CAUSE TRAFFIC TO STOP FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR.
Plan accordingly and follow these recommendations to avoid getting stuck: If you are coming from south of Powell, please take Powell to 20th and come back down (head west) Division so that you stay on the north of the tracks. If you are coming from north of Division, please avoid driving or parking on 11th as this one-way street will come to a halt if there is a train, and you risk getting stuck. We cannot be responsible for late arrivals or missed appointments due to the train. We want for us all to be able to avoid the stress that the train can cause, and it is possible with a little planning and strategy!
